a sweet treat

I adore Rice Krispie squares. They were the treat I missed most when I went veg as a teenager. Little did I know, there was a simple solution! Marshmallow Fluff is gelatin free and tastes just like regular marshmallows. There are gelatin-free marshmallows out there, but they're super expensive and hard to find.

This is how I adjusted the recipe:

2 jars Marshmallow Fluff (found in the ice cream topping area at the grocery store)
6 cups Rice Krispies
3 tablespoons butter

  • melt butter on medium heat
  • add in fluff and heat until melted
  • add Rice Krispies 2 cups at a time, stir to coat
  • press into greased dish
  • enjoy!
