new uniform

Jeans and tees - we all wear them. But how can you elevate this classic combo?

Ensure your jeans fit well. This can be tricky, but I will continue to post my faves here to help steer you to the right stores!!

This pair is from Gap and they fit like a glove. If you buy one pair of jeans this fall, let it be these!! They are high rise with just the right amount of stretch, and they have a cropped, raw step-hem which is super trendy rn.

I personally believe that high rise jeans are the only way to go because they accentuate your waist (yes, please!!), they hold everything in (i.e. muffin tops), they make your butt look great, and most importantly they don't fall down while you're trying to live your best life.

Also, a darker wash like this is super slimming! High five.

Be mindful of your tshirt choice. If you're wearing high rise jeans, you'll want to tuck (or at least half-tuck) your shirt. You'll look more put together and your waist will remain visible, keeping your shape.

For this look, it's best to choose a fitted tee to avoid creating bulk under your jeans, or better yet - a tshirt bodysuit!!

Yep, it's a bodysuit! Now I know what you're thinking - that sounds uncomfortable. It's totally not! This one from Aerie is super soft, and it has a relaxed fit around the bum which is great for comfort - and also lines. Some bodysuits have an elasticized bum which does not look so cute under jeans, but this one is totally invisible!

A tshirt bodysuit is a great option because it's super smooth under your clothes, and it doesn't come un-tucked! And most, like this one, have snaps for easy bathroom breaks.

A little ruffle sleeve makes it cute and feminine!

This hem is cool enough to be worn with any shoe, but of course I love a nude pump!
