Shoppers Drug Mart - a mama blogger’s best friend!
I’ve been shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart for years. I remember as a kid, I always wanted to go to Shoppers to get all the hottest makeup. Of course at that time, my “makeup” consisted mostly of body glitter. But fast forward 20 years and I’m addicted to highlighter, so I guess not much has changed.🤣
As a mom and blogger, I am constantly running around and doing a million things at once, So Shoppers has become a major staple for me in keeping my mani on point, and also making sure we have something to eat in the house. We never seem to have the time to make a full grocery run, so the food section at Shoppers has been a lifesaver!
The New Shoppers Drug Mart at Yonge & Dundas is a true one-stop-shop for all your daily essentials! The store is beautiful and well organized, making it easy to run in and grab what you need. The main level is the Beauty Boutique, offering everything from high-end luxury brands, to regular drug store brands, and an extensive selection of skincare.
They have an interactive Quo brush bar, where you can play with all the various types of makeup brushes and find out what they’re used for (v. useful if you’re like me and use like, two brushes).
They also offer free skin consultations, where a Beauty Expert will use a wand-like device to analyze your skin and determine if you are acne prone, have sun damage, etc, and they will recommend the appropriate products for your individual skin type. They also have a device that measures the moisture levels in your skin, which I find really interesting because I can see if my night cream is really working!! 😉
Another great service the Beauty Boutique offers is free makeup applications! I love this service because you can try before you buy, or even get a touch up before date night.
On the upper level you will find personal care items, magazines, and their wonderful food selection. I’m talking everything from produce, to meat and cheese, to snacks and even dry goods like pasta and coffee.
As Milo becomes increasingly picky (how do I stop this?!), and my calendar fills with deadlines, I rely on Shoppers to keep me stocked with all my essentials! I absolutely LOVE all the fresh cut fruit at the Yonge & Dundas location - it keeps me away from the chips!! #momwin
I’m also obsessed with the PC Optimum Program, because with a little planning, the points add up FAST - and that means more free beauty & groceries for this mama!
An added bonus at the Yonge & Dundas Shoppers is the self-checkout. I hardly ever have to wait in line, so I can get back to my day in no time! Have you guys tried the Shoppers self-checkout?? 🙌🏻
Anywhere I can get avocados and lipstick is a win in my books!
These are just a few of the essential items I picked up at Shoppers Yonge & Dundas!
Quo crystal nail file - LIFE CHANGING! If you do your own nails, you need it!
got2b dry shampoo - does the job without being too sticky or smelly (I find some dry shampoos actually make my hair feel more dirty - anyone else??)
Essie polish in ballet slippers (a staple!) and turquoise & caicos (colour of the moment - I've had so many compliments!!)
Clarins Hydra-Essentiel lip balm - the Shoppers Beauty Expert recommended this balm to me and I LOVE it! Keeps my lips hydrated for hours!
got2b phenomenal fiber cream - Alex’s fave styling product! If you have thick hair, this one is for you!
Benefit brow contour pro 4-in1 pencil - one of my fave beauty brands, they never disappoint!
And some of the food items we can’t live without!
PC 100% orange juice
Annie’s organic mac & cheese (some days the only thing Milo will eat! 🤣)
Tonica blueberry kombucha
Way Better Snacks whole grain tortilla chips
Starbucks Via Instant dark roast (total lifesaver)
Annie’s organic white cheddar bunnies (again, sometimes the only thing Milo will eat!)
If you haven’t visited the new Shoppers Drug Mart at Yonge & Dundas, you have to check it out! Especially if you’re busy like me - you’re going to love this addition to the neighbourhood!!
Happy shopping! ☺️
